THE SHARE COLLECTION
From Hightower / Ocee & Four Design

Hightower’s partnership with Ocee & Four Design is rooted in a shared belief that great spaces start with people. Together, we bring thoughtful, adaptable furniture to the places people spend their days — balancing smart functionality, considered design, and a few unexpected details that make the experience a little better.
The Share Collection continues that story through Danish design duo Strand + Hvass, the minds behind iconic collections including FourCast® and FourSure®. Known for balancing form and function with a considered approach to circularity, their work is designed with both people and longevity in mind. With Share, that thinking comes together in a collection built around freedom — in how we sit, how we move, and how spaces respond to the people within them.

Share began with an observation: when given the freedom, people rarely sit in just one way. Strand + Hvass translated that behavior into an open, approachable form designed around movement, while considering longevity, shared components, and eventual disassembly from the earliest stages of the design process.

“Our experience is that if people are allowed to move and feel free, then you’ll actually feel more active and creative.”
Strand + Hvass — Designers, Share Collection

Every Side Is the Right Side
Share may look polished standing still, but take a seat and its playful side comes out. The open, split-back design gives users room to sit forward, backward, or sideways and engage with the chair from a completely different angle.
Even the smallest details are designed to adapt. A replaceable back cover adds a subtle opportunity to refresh the chair over time, while the sculpted seat and back maintain the collection’s distinctive form from every perspective. The result is a chair that feels less prescriptive — and a lot more personal.

One Family. More Ways to Share.
From four-leg seating to swivel and wheeler bases, Share carries one cohesive design language across a range of applications and heights. Counter and bar-height chairs extend the collection to elevated surfaces, while Hightower’s 22.5” ADA-compatible counter-height model creates another option for more accessible spaces. Add the Wheeler with InnoTab® for a mobile work surface, and Share can move throughout a floor plan while maintaining a consistent point of view — even as the needs around it change.

Made for More Than One Kind of Space
A meeting room one minute, a place for heads-down work the next. Share’s informal character makes it a natural fit wherever spaces — and the people using them — need to flex. Across conference rooms, classrooms, training spaces, and collaborative settings, different bases and heights carry one design language throughout a floor plan. And for facilities teams keeping those spaces moving, the four-leg Share Chair stacks 12 high on the floor or 28 on the Ocee & Four Design Universal Trolley, and is compatible with Ocee & Four Design table suspension brackets for easier storage and space resets.

Material choices bring another layer of personality to Share’s playful form. Oak veneer adds natural warmth, available in oak or black stained finishes and paired with either a veneer or upholstered seat. Black powder coat grounds the collection as the standard base finish, while the replaceable back cover creates a small but thoughtful opportunity for change over time — another detail designed to help Share adapt to the spaces around it.

Designed To Be Disassembled
Thinking about what comes next started long before Share became a finished chair. The collection is designed without glues or permanent bonds, allowing individual components to be separated when repair, replacement, or end-of-life processing becomes necessary. Shared seats, backs, and hardware across chair heights further simplify replacement while helping extend the usefulness of existing components. It’s a more considered approach to circularity: make furniture that lasts, make individual parts easier to address along the way, and make responsible decisions at end of life more achievable.

Considered from Every Angle
Experiences are better when people have the freedom to find what works for them. Share applies that thinking beyond how you sit, considering longevity, material health, and adaptability throughout the collection. Hightower’s offering is Indoor Advantage Gold certified and Red List Free, with most models rated to 400 lbs and tested to applicable ANSI/BIFMA standards. Replaceable components and disassembly support a longer, more considered product life, backed by a 25-year warranty on four-leg chairs and stools and 10 years on Swivel and Wheeler models. It’s our Considered Solutions approach, from every angle.
