Roger Persson defines his designs as a game with lines and curves, and anyone who sees his furniture gets what he means. By adding soft surfaces and forms to an otherwise modern and aesthetic expression, he creates a long-lasting design idiom.
Roger's furniture is both beautiful and functional – comfortable, practical, and has a special knack of fitting into all types of environments. His Happy chair has become a iconic piece for Hightower. Persson was born in 1967 in Sweden and trained as an industrial designer at HDK/University of Gothenburg. He also studied furniture design at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He then opened a design studio with two colleagues. Since 2009 he has run his own studio, Roger Persson Design,...designing furniture and other products from furniture and lighting to 3D-scanners to toys. His furniture has been exhibited all over Europe, Japan, and the USA.
